Τα τραγούδια, οι διεθνείς ταινίες και τα ντοκιμαντέρ που μπαίνουν στην κούρσα για τις τελικές υποψηφιότητες των βραβείων Όσκαρ.
H Οσκαρική περίοδος έχει ξεκινήσει επίσημα, με την Αμερικανική Ακαδημία Κινηματογραφικών Τεχνών και Επιστημών να ανακοινώνει ήδη τις shortlists σε 10 κατηγορίες για την 94η Τελετή Απονομής των Βραβείων Όσκαρ.
Οι λίστες προεπιλογής που δόθηκαν στη δημοσιότηα αφορούν -μεταξύ άλλων- τις κατηγορίες: Διεθνής Ταινία, Ντοκιμαντέρ και Ντοκιμαντέρ Μικρού Μήκους, Μουσική, Τραγούδι, Οπτικά Εφέ, κ.ά.
Αξίζει να σημειωθεί ότι στην κατηγορία «Διεθνής Ταινία», απουσιάζει η ελληνική συμμετοχή με το Digger. Παράλληλα, ρίχνοντας μια γρήγορη ματιά, στις υποψηφιότητες για «Πρωτότυπο τραγούδι» συναντάμε την Μπίλι Άιλις για το ομώνυμο κομμάτι της νέας ταινίας Τζέιμς Μποντ, No Time to Die, την Μπιγιόνσε για το Be Alive στο φιλμ King Richard, τους U2 με το Your Song Saved My Life για το Sing 2, αλλά και την Αριάνα Γκράντε για το Just Look Up στο φιλμ Don’t Look Up με τον Λεονάρντο ΝτιΚάπριο.
Παράλληλα, η νέα ταινία Μποντ φιγουράρει και στην κατηγορία «Μουσική» με το θέμα του Χανς Ζίμμερ, ο οποίος είναι υποψήφιος και για τη μουσική του στο Dune. Το ίδιο συμβαίνει και με τον Τζόνι Γκρίνγουντ των Radiohead για τα μουσικά θέματα στις ταινίες The Power of the Dog και Spencer. Στη λίστα συναντάμε επίσης το όνομα του ελληνικής καταγωγής Αλεξάντερ Ντεσπλά για τη μουσική του στο The French Dispatch, όπως και τον Χάρι Γκρέγκσον-Γουίλιαμς για το Last Duel του Ρίντλεϊ Σκοτ.
Οι τελικές υποψηφιότητες των βραβείων Όσκαρ θα ανακοινωθούν από την Ακαδημία στις 8 Φεβρουαρίου 2022.
Η 94η Τελετή Απονομής των Όσκαρ -αν όλα πάνε καλά με την εξέλιξη της πανδημίας- θα πραγματοποιηθεί στις 27 Μαρτίου του 2022 στο Dolby Theatre στο Λος Άντζελες.
